I re read the first couple of my posts and tripped down memory lane..
Was thinking about an upcoming planned cheat meal tonight (after a week of saintliness of course) and have decided on lasagne! I seriously don't eat pasta OR beef in any other dish but for some reason this is my favourite off plan food...must have something to do with the cheesy sauce. I love vegies so much that I enjoy it even more by mixing some brocco ...

With a few things going on for me hormone wise, including amenorrhea, I questioned whether I should continue on and compete for the first time since beginning this journey. I knew it would happen, only a matter of time. But the self doubt was fleeting as I know depsite all the sacrifices, that this is one goal I don't just want to achieve, that I know I will.
I ...

Love them and look forward to the rest and the end of every busy week but boy are they difficult foodwise!
My happy announcement is the past weekend (4-5 October) is the
first weekend in 27 weeks of food journalling that I have eaten to plan.
(Saturdays are usually fine, Sundays are the villian)
Snaps for me! :) xoxoxox

I gained 2mm body fat this past month. Now I know that's not much but I've still got fat to lose so I am disappointed with myself and feel as though I have wasted the last four weeks. I wasn't surprised by the result, as looking back I have been far too complacent with my meal plan and adding additional things here and there so it was looking like more of a maintenance plan.
I was trying very hard to break away from my binging habits and do this through a healthier/b ...

I found a couple of the Aussie gladiators (Biona- Steph L and Amazon-Shari O) via good ol facebook and I thought I would share the encouraging words that Shari had to say.... (Meanwhile have you seen this woman's shoulders and back!!??) Take heed!

I know that I am not perfect and sometimes still succumb to the lure of emotional overeating, that awful feeling where you are just out of control. But I feel like I am making a lot of progress in reducing non-hungry eating and eating with awareness by really making sure I enjoy the meals on my plan and never feel deprived. By doing this, I am not viewing overeating generally as a source of pleasure anymore, rather associating it with a discomfort of being overfull.

I've mentioned that a great way to lose excess fat is to concentrate on improving your health as for most people, simply increasing water and vegetable intake is enough to indirectly reduce 'sometimes food' and non hungry eating (like my lingo?) and getting in better shape becomes inevitable!

Not much in the way of weight loss to report the last couple of weeks unfortunately but progress in the realms of headspace in leaps and bounds which is far more valuable!!!
It is absolutely perfect timing for me to have started reading, "If not dieting, then what?" by Rick Kausman as a lot of the ideas he is conveying would not have hit home with me only months ago, but I am finally starting to see the light :)
I am now FAR les ...

Thought I'd muse on some of the strange comments people give you when (after working your butt off) people start to notice you're getting results. (I have to admit, I've been guilty of asking a co-worker vaguely if they'd lost some weight to have them say they'd lost 30kg).
The other night a very strange little man who has been training at our gym for many years and never fails to be wearing the same outfit of tiny black (well worn) bikeshorts and a huge whi ...
