Hi I am a 31 year old wife and mother of 3 girls. 5, 3 and 7 month old. Over the past 3 years I have religiously trained/ exercised everyday and have found my inspiration from your magazine. The magazine has given me the information I have needed to train and eat correctly. I love me children to bits but if I don't exercise each day I am very uptight and angry. Even if I can only manage a 20 minute run with my Ipod blaring it is enough to give me "happy" endorphines.

Just recently I have begun studying with the Australian Institute of Fitness to be a Personal Trainer. I cannot believe how long it took me to realise how much I love to be fit and healthy and how easy it is to look great. I didn't know before but I would always try and educate my friends on what to do and how to train inorder to feel better and didn't even click that I should look at PT as a career.  Thanks Oxygen for giving me the knowledge to follow my passion.

Thank you so much for sharing your story on the forum and for your lovely words about the magazine. Lindy works her fingers to the bone to make Oxygen one of the best fitness magazines in Australia and I know she really appreciates hearing that all her hard work is appreciated x

Hi Sheree. I'm sorry I saw this post so late!

I'm so thrilled that you too have found your passion! I lost 43kg's in 11 under 11 months, and after losing my first 35 I put my Bachelor of Information Technology on hold to do my Cert 3 & 4 in Fitness.
I love health and fitness- it's my passion and ky life. Next I am going to study nutrition

Exercise is such a great stress reliever. And you are setting a great example to your girls also.
I've just changed gyms, and they have 2 kids classes a week, so my son will go to that tomorrow. He's 11 next month, and I think it's so important that he has good fitness levels and an outlet- exercise has so many benefits.

Good luck with everything- I know it's hard juggling a family, studying and also fitting in some 'me time'.

Keep me posted on how things are going :-) xx

Hi Christie thanks for your response. Wow you want to study nutrition too!!! That is sooo expensive to do. I would love to but couldn't justify the cost. Life is still very busy for me, somedays a walk around my house and think some one has let a bomb go off in it but then I am addicted to go and train.  I am struggling a little to find my happy medium. My little 3 year old is missing out a little of mummy's time. I am either cleaning the house, cooking or exercising..........argh I need more energy and more time and more hands!!!

Hi Lindy, Yeah studying is going good. I can't believe how technical exercising really is. I absolutely love it though. I just wish I could know everything NOW!!! How am I balancing everything.....well yeah it is getting a little harder these days. I am finding that I haven't got time to exercise these days as I should be cleaning, studying or spending time with my kids. And then when I do get out to exercise (at home with weights) I feel that I don't have time to do it so I rush it and I am really not exercising to my fullest potential. I need to sit down and write a program for myself one full body and one split program. I don't always know when I can train again so really a full body program is what I should be focusing on. Anyway, life is good even if I am flat out!!! I am heading to Bali straight after my first practical of my course so am looking forward to holidaying and dare I say it exercising in the heat...........yay!!   Thanks for your responses, its nice to know someone is actually listening.
