I've heard both sides of the story, is it safe for a woman to take creatine in order to help build muscle?  I happen to be vegetarian and I suspect this may inhibbit my muscle growth and strength.  I've heard there can be very bad side affects but I think i read an article in Oxygen suggesting it is suitable for women.  Any ideas?

Hi Jodi,
I can only talk from my own experience and I have used creatine on and off over the years with no problems at all. What I would suggest is if you want to try it out, build up it's use gradually so see how you react to it.
My one suggestion is make sure you keep your water intake up.

Not sure what else to say - maybe there are others in here who might have some input?

Hi Jodi,

Good advice Vicki.

From my own experience, I have used creatine in the past with no side effects and found it very good for bulking up.

Wishing you the best of success Jodi!
