Tune in, for all of my comp training and nutrition strategies. Just for being a member, you can keep track of what I do, when I do it and most importantly WHY I DO WHAT I DO! Without understanding the WHY, you may find you fall short of your goals without even realising it! Nothing beats consistency, hard work and focus. Many people compete but very few continue past their first show. It takes drive, determination and above all the mindset to keep going even when the going gets tough. The best advice I can give, is to NEVER, NEVER NEVER give up on your dreams. The road not travelled is full of regret, and the road you know can only take you where you’ve already been. Making an improvement in your life is as simple as making a choice. This choice is making a conscious decision to reach your goal by working towards it. For those of you who are willing to make a small contribution to yourself, each and every day, you will succeed.

I've had Lia and Daniel over this afternoon entirely to give me some much needed feedback about my site.. I've just not had a chance to change the menus to make sure it's user friendly.  Obviously it hasn't been the best and there is always room for improvement in my opinion!  It's hard though...

Being in Sydney this weekend for our annual Trimax Christmas Bash has been so much fun, I just wish Dallas could have come.  He's still at home with a chest infection, but he's been resting on the couch at home so that's a good thing.  I'm proud of myself as we spent the whole day in the sun and I slip slop slapped and didnt come home doing my usual crispy critter impersonation.  Not sunburnt, just bruises on my knees from my surfing attempt.  Geez.. that was so much fun, I couldn't stop laughing!

Do you ever wonder how the other half lives.. boy, after being at Jd's all week, I sure do appreciate the things I have at home... like my desk, my fast internet connection.. (i missed this 2nd to Dallas of course) and boy did I miss Dallas.  It's nice to realise that your family and friends really make you feel all warm and fuzzy, but when they're not there to give you your daily dose of hugs and kisses, it can make you feel very vulnerable.. although we all know we are very capable... someone there to say "it's okay" is sometimes the thing we miss the most...

Is procrastination curable?

Procrastination. Putting off until tomorrow what you could do today. Is there a more counterproductive habit? It causes more stress and anxiety than the Grinch in December. Procrastination solves nothing and usually makes things worse. It piles up unfinished business and preoccupies the dark corners of your brain. You hope the pile will disappear but for some reason it doesn't.....

Studies now correlate an increase in certain health risks with soda consumption. For four years, researchers tracked the soda drinking habits of 50,000 women. When women went from drinking one regular soda drink a week to at least one a day, they gained an average of 10 pounds during the four year period.

How many times are we blind to the good in front of us because we're looking past it for something better? It's like watching the railroad track your entire life, waiting for a train to come in and never realizing that you're sitting smack in the middle of the splendid Grand Central Station. Take a second look at your goals. Are they building on the good already in your life? Are you taking full advantage of the strengths you already have? Is it worth giving up what you have for what you might have? In many cases, the answer is yes. To that we say "Go for it!" with all the enthusiasm we can muster. Those are the meaningful goals. If the answer is no, try reworking your goals to include ones that complement your present life rather than substitute for it. Whatever the answer is for you, we could all use a little more appreciation for the pieces of silver in our lives.
