Tune in, for all of my comp training and nutrition strategies. Just for being a member, you can keep track of what I do, when I do it and most importantly WHY I DO WHAT I DO! Without understanding the WHY, you may find you fall short of your goals without even realising it! Nothing beats consistency, hard work and focus. Many people compete but very few continue past their first show. It takes drive, determination and above all the mindset to keep going even when the going gets tough. The best advice I can give, is to NEVER, NEVER NEVER give up on your dreams. The road not travelled is full of regret, and the road you know can only take you where you’ve already been. Making an improvement in your life is as simple as making a choice. This choice is making a conscious decision to reach your goal by working towards it. For those of you who are willing to make a small contribution to yourself, each and every day, you will succeed.

Dividing your attention between two dreams

One essential goal-setting strategy is to be as specific as possible about your desires. Write out your goals and formulate a detailed plan about how you are going to achieve this goal. Baby steps are important, but keep them focused. Often we are pulled in many directions at once. It is important though, to devote time and effort to a single goal at a time to avoid distraction that can lead to putting forth less effort. Take time to put down some of your "spinning plates" and track your progress over time.

If you chase two rabbits, both will escape!

I've been inundated with requests on how to get sponsorships..

There is a tonne of information in the fitness tips section under the fitness modelling section.

Firstly, obtaining sponsorship is HARD work and don't let anyone tell you it's a piece of cake... unless of course you are an Olympic Athlete and you've just won GOLD!  Then your onto a good thing!

For the majority of other athletes out there, (especially those who are not involved in main stream sports) and by mainstream I am talking about Olympic Sports, athletes that compete in events like bodybuilding, figure shaping and other niche sports generlly fall outside the box, AND it's relatively hard work getting ANY sponsorship, let alone get paid to compete!

I've had Lia and Daniel over this afternoon entirely to give me some much needed feedback about my site.. I've just not had a chance to change the menus to make sure it's user friendly.  Obviously it hasn't been the best and there is always room for improvement in my opinion!  It's hard though...

Being in Sydney this weekend for our annual Trimax Christmas Bash has been so much fun, I just wish Dallas could have come.  He's still at home with a chest infection, but he's been resting on the couch at home so that's a good thing.  I'm proud of myself as we spent the whole day in the sun and I slip slop slapped and didnt come home doing my usual crispy critter impersonation.  Not sunburnt, just bruises on my knees from my surfing attempt.  Geez.. that was so much fun, I couldn't stop laughing!

Do you ever wonder how the other half lives.. boy, after being at Jd's all week, I sure do appreciate the things I have at home... like my desk, my fast internet connection.. (i missed this 2nd to Dallas of course) and boy did I miss Dallas.  It's nice to realise that your family and friends really make you feel all warm and fuzzy, but when they're not there to give you your daily dose of hugs and kisses, it can make you feel very vulnerable.. although we all know we are very capable... someone there to say "it's okay" is sometimes the thing we miss the most...

Is procrastination curable?

Procrastination. Putting off until tomorrow what you could do today. Is there a more counterproductive habit? It causes more stress and anxiety than the Grinch in December. Procrastination solves nothing and usually makes things worse. It piles up unfinished business and preoccupies the dark corners of your brain. You hope the pile will disappear but for some reason it doesn't.....

Finding and celebrating the joy in life

Each day is a new chance to find joy and to dance. If you let it pass or think it useless, the chance is gone and you'll never get it back. When was the last time you played? Or just did something for the sheer fun of it?

Days don't get shorter. Our attention spans do. How can spring be over in a blink while it seems like the weekend will never get here? Because we're not paying attention. Five days out of seven, we're waiting for something else to happen in the future, and we don't take advantage of the day that we hold in our pocket. Have you ever had someone ask what you did last week--or even yesterday--and had trouble coming up with an answer?
