This year has been such a big year, taking on Oxygen Mag and doing all the editorial has definitely been challenging. Just finding the time to fit in everything has been a major balancing act and it's taught me many valuable lessons! We think we are super women who can take on the world, but you know what, we are human just like the next person.
Sure I cramm as much into my day as is humanly possible, but at some point you have to sit back and take time to chil.. i don't mean the kind of chill out session that involves sitting in front of the TV with your computer on your lap (yes I am guilty of this). I mean total relaxation, go to the beach, go for a drive with your family through the bush, whatever makes you just STOP! Sometimes we need to be forced to STOP like I was by getting sick.
My coach said to me, woud you have stopped if you didn't get sick.. I answered honestly.. NO.
So there you go, try to learn from my mistakes! I make many of them but I am always grateful and there is a LESSON in each and every one of them!!
As pink says: They are "my beautiful mistakes"
Until next time
Always remember to Train Hard, Keep Fit and LOVE Life!

Re: Finally on the mend
So true Lindy. I am glad you had a well deserved break, even if you were sick.
I have learnt this lesson as well. I have been juggling comp prep, work, 3 children, husband, family and friends for most of the year. What I have gained from this experience is priceless. I value my family time more and my husband and I have found a new level of respect for each other.
I know who my true friends are, the ones who have been there for me all the way.
I never realised how much of a personal journey this whole thing has been. I have you to thank because you have been my role model and inspiration that took me on this journey.
Look forward to seeing you at the Nationals on the weekend.
